A major change has been made in the 74th Republic Day program in Haryana. Now instead of Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, minister Kamal Gupta will unfurl the tricolor in Hisar. Along with this, changes have also been made in Kaithal and Ambala.
Hisar: A major change has been made in the Republic Day program at three places in Haryana. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala will not come to Hisar to hoist the flag in the Republic Day program and take the salute of the parade. Urban and Municipal Bodies Minister Kamal Gupta will hoist the flag in Hisar instead of Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala. Similarly, changes have also been made in Kaithal and Ambala. MP Nayab Saini in Kaithal and Deputy Commissioner in Ambala’s Radaur will unfurl the flag. Apart from this, if any guest or any of the designated officer is unable to reach the said places for any reason, then the concerned Deputy Commissioner and Sub-Divisional Officer will hoist the national flag there.
Police checking in public places: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the 74th Republic Day celebrations to be celebrated at Mahavir Stadium in Hisar. About 500 police personnel including 3 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 13 Inspectors have been deployed here. Before the Republic Day celebrations, intensive checking is being done inside and outside the venue and Mahavir Stadium. Bus stand, railway station, hotel and dhaba, Dharamshala, guest house have also been checked. During checking, guidelines have been given to take strict legal action against suspicious persons.
Traffic arrangement on Republic Day: Special arrangements have been made for traffic in the city on Republic Day. Route arrangements have been made till Fountain Chowk, Flyover Bridge and Tea Point Mahavir Stadium Hisar to run the traffic smoothly. Naka will be set up near Canal Rest House/Madhuban Park Gate and parking has been made.
T Point Opposite Sharma Hospital, Near Jindal Tower & HAU Gate No. Blockade has been done near 1. Along with this, additional police force has been deployed at Rani Laxmibai Chowk, Malik Chowk, Fountain Chowk, entrance gate of Government College (on the side of Panchayat Bhawan), Kumhar Dharamshala, gate number one of Haryana Agricultural University to maintain law and order.
Republic Day program in Hisar : The chief guest of the Republic Day celebrations will unfurl the flag at the program venue in Hisar at 10 am. Before this, the chief guest will pay homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the security of the country at the local war memorial. The Deputy Commissioner said that the officers and employees of different departments in the district who have done commendable work will also be honoured.
Under the security arrangements, Mahavir Stadium has been divided into 2 parts. In which the entire area inside the Mahavir Stadium in Sector 1, including the VIP stage and all the gates. Outside part of Mahavir Stadium in Sector 2, in which the main gate and vehicle parking have been placed. Four gates have been fixed for the entry of general public and artists in Mahavir Stadium Hisar. Entrance gates 1 and 2 have been connected to the general public from Madhuban Park and entrance gates 3 and 4 have been connected to Mahavir Stadium from Panchayat Bhawan. Adequate security force will be deployed at these entrances.
