Mumbai: The nominations for the upcoming 95th edition of the Academy Awards were announced by hosts Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams on Tuesday, with ‘The Banshee of Inishrein’ leading the pack with 9 nominations. The Colin Farrell-starrer film was nominated in the following categories – Best Supporting Actor (two nominations), Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Original Score, Best Picture, Best Editing and Best Original Screenplay.

India also received three nominations for Best Original Song (‘RRR’ to ‘Naatu Naatu’), Best Documentary Feature Film (All That Breathes), and Best Documentary Short Film (‘The Elephant Whispers’). The 95th Academy Awards are to be presented on March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
