Anil Antony Quits Congress: Anil Antony, Son Of Congress Leader Ak Antony, Left Congress


It is a big blow for the Congress party. Veteran Congress leader and son of former Kerala Chief Minister AK Antony, Anil Antony has resigned from the party. He has resigned due to the controversies raised on the BBC documentary. Anil Antony said that no matter what happens, internal differences should not be allowed to be taken advantage of by foreign institutions and external agencies.

New Delhi: There is big news about the Congress party. Anil Antony, son of senior party leader AK Antony, has resigned from the membership of the party. He has resigned over the BBC documentary controversy. The son of the former Union Minister has announced his resignation from all posts in the Congress. Anil Antony has supported the government’s stand regarding the BBC documentary.

Veteran Congress leader and son of former Kerala CM AK Antony, Anil Antony has objected to the documentary. Keeping a different opinion from the stand of his party and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on this issue, Anil Antony wrote in a tweet, ‘Preferencing the views of British broadcasters over Indian institutions, will weaken the sovereignty of the country.’
