According to the Meteorological Department, people are not going to get relief from the cold. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain and hailstorm in many districts of the state.
Dehradun: In Uttarakhand, from the mountains to the plains, the torture of winter continues. Due to which people are facing a lot of problems. People are seen resorting to bonfires to avoid the cold. On the other hand, in the plains, the fog is continuously increasing the tension of the people. The plains are coming under the grip of fog in the morning and evening.
Rain and hailstorm alert: According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with rain, hailstorm and lightning in Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar today. There is a possibility of snowfall at places higher than 2500 meters. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert expressing the possibility of cold wave.
In the past, nature has beautified the world famous Kedarnath Dham with snowfall. The beauty of the city of Kedar covered with snow up to five feet is being created. Even though Baba is engrossed in Kedar Samadhi these days, but the beauty of this place is attracting everyone to itself. The temple of Baba Kedar is covered with snow from the top to the courtyard. Nandi Maharaj, located in front of the main gate of the temple, is also covered with a white sheet of snow.
The weather increased in Khatima: Due to intermittent rains in the night, the cold has increased. Due to the change in the weather, cold wave has started wreaking havoc in the Terai region. In the areas of Khatima-Nanakmatta and Sitarganj, normal life was affected due to light rain and cold wave on the previous day. At the same time, people were seen resorting to bonfires to avoid the cold. Shopkeepers say that due to the continuous cold there is silence in the markets. Due to the cold, people are coming less to do shopping in the markets. Due to which the business of local traders is getting affected.
Know how the temperature will be: On the other hand, talking about the temperature, the possibility of maximum temperature being around 24°C has been expressed in the state today. Whereas in the capital Dehradun, the maximum temperature will be around 12.1°C and the minimum temperature will be around 6°C.
