WIPL Teams Auction: The Women’s Indian Premier League team auction is going to be held in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon. More than 30 companies had bought bid documents for five crore rupees to buy WIPL teams. In these 30 companies, 7 companies that own the Men’s IPL teams are also involved in this race. But, only 17 companies will participate in the women’s IPL teams auction to be held today and 13 companies have pulled out of the auction. This auction will be held inside closed doors. Some big information about the tournament schedule and the auction purse received by the teams has come to the fore.
Which teams are included in the auction
Among the Men’s IPL teams, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals submitted technical bids before the deadline that ended on Monday. Apart from these seven IPL franchises, Adani Group, Cappy Global, Haldiram Group, Torrent Pharma, Apollo Pipes, Amritleela Enterprises, Shriram Group and Slingshot 369 Ventures Private Limited are also going to bid in the women’s IPL teams auction.
How many cities are included in the tender document?
BCCI has included a total of ten cities for 5 women’s franchises, which are Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Dharamshala, Indore, Lucknow, Guwahati, Mumbai cities. BCCI has not set any base price for the 5 teams of IPL. Women’s IPL teams will be named in any 5 cities out of these ten. This auction will be valid for about 10 years.
